why I love my school nurse, by EM
This article is written for yooou! by 12-year-old, EM.
It’s School Nurses Day and I am so so grateful for the lovely nurse in my family, my mum.
My mum has always been my hero. She helps me when I get sick and puts plasters over my cuts and grazes.
But what makes her a super hero is that she not only helps her children at home, but spends her whole day helping others at school.
My mum is our school nurse. She has worked there around 10 years and so I would love to show some appreciation to her as a nurse.
The only problem is, it’s hard to fake being sick sometimes! I can never miss school or any other events for a “fever” or a “headache” since she knows every single detail!
However, she is always there for you. She is there if you ever need to talk, she is there to help and heal your wounds and she is the one who will always be there for you no matter what.
Nurses care for patients and will not stop caring until they are positive that they are better.
I love my mum so so much and I am so grateful to have her not only as my mum, but as a nurse at home too!
So again, I would like to say a huge thank you to not only my mum but to the nurses in the world too!
There are so many nurses out there who don’t get enough appreciation! So thank you so so much for giving your time to care for others.
