why the ice bucket challenge is trending again, by MS

I think we’re all wondering why the ice bucket challenge is trending again???
It’s been over 10 years since the last ice bucket challenge was a huge popularity due to ALS.
ALS is a disease that needed to be brought awareness to, so the ALS Association created the ice bucket challenge so that they could raise money to help ALS patients.
Now, the University of South Carolina’s Mental Illness Needs Discussion Club has brought back the ice bucket challenge to help another illness!!
This club wants to normalize mental illness, support others along their journeys, and to bring awareness to suicide prevention. With an already growing popularity in the challenge, they are striving to bring awareness and help others through mental illnesses.
So how does the ice bucket challenge help mental illness?
Well, the challenge rules are simple three steps to help bring awareness, allow donations, and overall support others through their mental health journeys.
The three steps are as follows:
1. You are nominated and have 24 hours to dump a freezing cold bucket of ice on your head.
2. Follow the link in the @uscmind bio and donate to help support their cause.
3. Tag 3-5 friends and @uscmind then post on your instagram story! You can even find friends to do the challenge with you if you’ve both been nominated to up the fun!
