braces are worth it, by GH
“Braces are Worth It” was written for yooou! by 14-year-old, GH.
| At first, braces seemed like a magical experience.
I wanted them because everyone else had them and they looked great. Once I got them on, nothing really happened until the next day when my teeth were immediately sore, and my entire mouth hurt. I also recognized that the day I got them I tried eating ChickFilA and it was a whole different experience.
Braces were an interesting experience but the least to say I am glad I had them. I only had them for about a year and a half and I just remember the pain I would be in when I went in to get my wire tightened. Once I got them off it was the best feeling though. It meant no more broken brackets, sores, or food restrictions and my smile was perfect. My overall braces experience was not too strange or difficult but rather easier than most. However, although that they seem “cool” at first, they are not a dream come true. There are a lot of responsibilities and obstacles that you take on.
