I love dogs—as I’m sure many people do—but you know what’s even better than dogs? Puppies! And when those puppies are with you while you do yoga, it’s absolute perfection.
Puppy yoga combines stretching, cuddles, and quality time with the cutest companions imaginable.
Here in Dallas, there’s a local spot called Puppies and Yoga on Chemical Street. They’re open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and they feature different puppies each weekend. I’ve been twice now and absolutely loved both experiences!
The first time, I did English Bulldog puppy yoga, and it was so much fun.
When you arrive, you check in and enter a small gated area with about 20 yoga mats. The puppies are already roaming around, and instructors help guide them over to you.
The class starts with 45 minutes of yoga while the puppies wander freely, followed by 30 minutes of free play where you can pet them, take photos, and enjoy all the puppy snuggles!
The English bulldog puppies were super sleepy and just wanted to cuddle, which made it so relaxing and sweet. Their faces were also so squishy and adorable!
My second visit was extra special because I got to go with my mom to Bernese Mountain Dog puppy yoga, which is the same breed as my dog at home, Paddington!
These puppies were full of energy, bouncing around the whole time, and it was such a fun, different experience than my first time with the English bulldogs.
Even though the two sessions were totally different vibes, I loved them both equally and could not recommend going to puppy yoga more!
I’d 10/10 recommend trying puppy yoga with your friends because it’s such a joyful experience, and I’m already looking forward to going again!
