why I love gaming, by LM
I love gaming because it helps me stay close to my friends. I’m a military kid, so I’ve made friends all over the country! I’m also homeschooled, so I do not get to see my friends everyday. If we can’t go on playdate, we just hop on the game!

When I was in public school, I made my first best friend. We mostly played at school, but then I had to move away. At first I was sad, and I knew I was going to miss her, but then we started playing Roblox together. Even though I moved far away, we could still play, but in a different way.
My favorite game to play with my friends is Roblox. We love dressing up our avatars in Dress to Impress, roleplaying in Berry Ave. and Brookhaven, and playing obbys (obstacle courses).
I also enjoy playing Minecraft, Bratz: Flaunt Your Fashion, and Star Wars: Racer Revenge. Anything can happen when I’m gaming. Sometimes there are funny glitches, like your head getting stuck in a wall and jumping too high. One time, in Roblox, I jumped and it looked like I went into another world! I’ve even tried coding in Scratch to make my own game!

In the game I can be creative and free to play however I want. I can build, design houses, and create worlds! I even make videos of my gameplay so I can watch them later and laugh at funny things that happened, or think about what I could do differently next time. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to start Lola in Loading.
Gaming means being yourself, playing with friends, and having fun. I hope gaming helps other kids like me feel safe to be themselves, free to have fun in their own way, and stay connected.
